On April 12th 2005, during the first official visit of Victor Yushchenko in Poland, the Warsaw University hosted a meeting between the newly elected Ukrainian President and the Polish youth, who actively supported the Orange Revolution. During this meeting Victor Yushchenko thanked the assembly for all the help given during the events which led to the peaceful change of power in Ukraine. Among the invited guests there were also the Orange Alternative dwarfs headed by Major himself.
After the President’s lecture, Major handed him in the orange dwarf hat and asked him to sign the orange victory flag, signed already by the Polish President Mr Kwaśniewski also present at the lecture. The lecture was preceded by films on the Orange Revolution, including fragments of the film by Mirosław Dembiński "Dwarfs go to Ukraine".
The event was organized by the Batory Foundation, Center for the Central European Studies and the Warsaw University.
